Hunter Rowing Club competes chiefly in regattas organised by the CDRA. These regattas are held at the following locations:

Newcastle Rowing Club, Throsby Creek, Wickham

Hunter Valley Grammar School, Hunter River, Berry Park

Hunter Rowing Club, First Street, Booragul

Upper Hunter Rowing Club, Lake Glenbawn, Scone

Port Macquarie Rowing Club, Telegraph Point, Port Macquarie

Armidale Rowing Club, Lake Malpas, Armidale

Manning River Rowing Club, Manning River, Taree

There is a fee charged by the association conducting the regatta.

For CDRA regattas, currently the fee is $4 per race per competitor; for NSWRA regattas, the fee is $8 per race per competitor. There is no charge for coxswains.
